Angel Isaacs is a lifelong ccm (Contemporary Christian music) independent recording artist, songwriter, and spiritual writer. She purchased "Evins Mill" (the 40 acre property of Senator Edgar Evins and Congressman Joe L. Evins in the 1980's and created "Chapelgate" - a private hideaway for Gospel and CCM recording artists near Nashville, Tennessee. Chapelgate consists of a registered natural area forest, a canyon, three waterfalls with 2 million gallons of water per day, a 7500 sq. ft. Gristmill with an overshot waterwheel, a Chapel, and a 5,000 sq. ft. stone and log Lodge Mansion hidden on a cliff overlooking the Mill, millpond, and 200 ft. dam. Amy Grant made the #1 CCM music video of all time "Lead Me On" at Angel's beautiful waterfalls at Chapelgate. (www.EvinsMill.com) Angel also created "The Chapelgate Adventure Series" a product line of music, poetry and fiction with Chapelgate as the setting, and markets it independently.
Angel's late husband, Robin Isaacs, was the first person in history to use a computer to monitor the drilling of an oil well. The Data Center real-time satellite system he spent his lifetime developing became the foundation for computer aided drilling in the oil industry worldwide, saving Mobil $24 million - $100 million annually for decades, now incorporated into Exxon-Mobil.
Angel and Robin built a recording studio at Chapelgate and hired Dwight Liles, multiple Dove Award winner from the Gospel Music Association, to produce Angel's first two albums, "Degrees of Glory," and "Spiritual Tapestry." Later, Angel became the leading theologically trained songwriter in Contemporary Christian music. She has studied ancient biblical Hebrew and Greek over 15,000 hours. Her beautiful songs reflect her deep study. After Robin's death Angel moved to Orlando, Florida to finish raising her children. She is often seen at music venues around Orlando but focuses primarily on her home and her spiritual writing.
Angel's band "Elohim-Masada" was formed in 2007. Angel creates the lyrics, joined in some songs by Bax McInnis. Bax arranges the songs and records them in his home studio. Bax, "The Infamous Bax" is well known in Central Florida as an amazing bass-player. Gabriel Lewandowski, an incredible death metal drummer who has toured nationally, joins Angel & Bax on drums and in recording. All 3 are extraordinary musicians, hence the name "Elohim-Masada."
The word "Elohim" is translated from ancient Hebrew into English as the word "God." It can also, however, mean gods, rulers, judges - meaning the divine ones. "Masada" was a high sheer rock fortress in the Promised Land - where the last leaders, made one final last stand for their beliefs and fought to the death. Masada is a symbol of ultimate rebellious heroism in devotion to God.
