Renowned Gospel artist Joe L., born Joseph L. Stanford, has quickly become a Christian sensation for his new release "God's Got This", which is now available in online stores such as Amazon.com and ITunes. Joe L. established R&G Publishing Inc. and began writing scores for off-broadway musicals including Gazelles and Rise of a Black Man. In 2001, Joe L. wrote Glory & Honor, a CD released by the A.F.C. Praise Ensemble, which he groomed for musical success. Joe L.'s talent was featured in many venues including his acting role in the Emmy-award winning show, The Awakening. Joe L showcased his artistic ability as a songwriter and playwright in the creation of Chaos In Heavenly Places. God's Got This, which was released in 2011, came as Joe L.'s testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness. Joe L. released this song after receiving the "not guilty" verdict at the end of a three-year court battle in which he faced over thirty years. While fighting this battle, Joe L. also dealt with trauma of almost losing his sister to a near drowning incident. After seeing how God gave him and his family victory, Joe L.'s natural reaction was to write a song that told of God's greatness. Currently, Joe L. serves as the Minister of Music at Ambassadors For Christ World Outreach Ministry under the direction of Apostle Joseph L. Stanford Sr., Joe L's father. Joe L. has experienced firsthand the wiles of Satan and the entrapping of worldly desires. His return to ministry and to his father's side is analogous to that of the prodigal son. Joe L. chronicles his return home and God's keeping power through his music, including God's Got This, his latest hit single.
