“As long as we have a stage we will lift their cries to the ears of our audience," explains Rick Heil, lead singer of SONICFLOOD on their partnership with Mission of Mercy.
"Working with an organization like Mission of Mercy is of utmost importance to SONICFLOOD. Children in extreme poverty are suffering due to abuse, neglect and malnutrition. We have been blessed with the opportunity to lead people in worship all over the world through our songs. Though we sing, we understand if our worship does not translate into action, we are nothing but clanging cymbals (1 Cor 13). Mission of Mercy is a pivotal part of our concerts where we challenge our audience to have their worship move from words into action through the child sponsorship program. It's an honor to be spokespersons for such a great organization."

ONE Vote ’08 will host concerts at churches in Nevada and Iowa to channel the energy and compassion of local faith communities into the movement to combat extreme poverty, hunger and global disease. Recording artists Sonicflood, known as the “Fathers of Modern Worship Music,” will headline the church concerts.
Since releasing their first album in 1999, Sonicflood has been deeply involved in charity and mission work throughout the world, including work with the International Mission Board and Compassion International.
“The need for relief in our world is overwhelming and it is our desire is to see a miraculous change through a united force of love – many acting as one. As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe that our Lord calls us to a life of surrender and self sacrifice so that this world will see His glorious love revealed. With Christ as our example, let us reach out to this hurting world – healing the sick, feeding the hungry and touching the untouchable. I pray that our love is more than just words but that our love is taking action and together we can move the highest mountain,” says SONICFLOOd lead singer Rick Heil.
The faith concerts are the latest in a flurry of activity in the early primary states by ONE Vote ’08 to raise awareness and visibility of the fight against extreme poverty and AIDS among primary voters and throughout the 2008 election. The faith concerts also come a week before the first-ever ONE Sabbath, a faith initiative by ONE to give local churches the tools to put their faith into action for the world’s poorest people. Congregations across America have been signing up at
www.one.org/faith to participate in ONE Sabbath, which will take place over the weekend of November 23, 2007.
