Atlantic/Word rock group NEEDTOBREATHE’s highly anticipated third studio album, The Outsiders, is set to release this coming summer. The band co-produced the entire album, along with producers John Alagia (Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer), the legendary Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco) and once again Rick Beato, who co-produced several tracks on the band’s sophomore release, The Heat.
The band is also excited to announce the addition of David Leonard (Jackson Waters) to their live touring band on keys and backing vocals. For more information, please visit www.needtobreathe.net or www.myspace.com/needtobreathe.
Atlantic/Word rock group NEEDTOBREATHE recently celebrated their first Top Ten Triple A radio hit, “More Time.” Originally featured on the P.S. I Love You soundtrack and their sophomore album The Heat, the song reached No. 8 in the R&R Triple A Top Ten chart among a group of superstar artists including Coldplay, Counting Crows and R.E.M.
The group is currently out on their own headlining tour supporting “The Heat,” and will then be supporting Gavin DeGraw for a few shows in October before hitting the road with Third Day in November on the “Third Day Live Tour.”
After back-to-back No. 1 singles with “Signature of Divine (Yahweh)”and “Washed by the Water,” NEEDTOBREATHE’s latest single for Christian radio “Streets of Gold” is already hitting the charts as “Washed by the Water” gets set to release to Triple A radio on Sept. 29.
New Lava/Atlantic and Sparrow Records band NEEDTOBREATHE is getting some early support from the folks at RELEVANT and 106.5 The End in Charlotte. Following a visit to the station last Friday, 106.5 The End in Charlotte, NC has been playing an acoustic set and interview with the band. To see if you can catch it, go to: http://www.1065.com/main.html. NEEDTOBREATHE also stopped by the RELEVANT offices recently and recorded two live songs, the first single “You are Here” and “Shine On” for RELEVANT.tv and the RELEVANT Podcast. (The RELEVANT Podcast can be downloaded on the iTunes Music Store or at RELEVANTmagazine.com.) The video footage will be available on
RELEVANT.tv soon.
Bridging the gap between college and mainstream rock, NEEDTOBREATHE’s debut “Daylight” (4.4.06) is loaded with hook-filled songs, and given the selection of such, both Atlantic/Lava and Sparrow promotion teams are planning to hit radio strong this February and March.
