Elevation Worship is a Christian band that evolved out of live music released by Elevation Church in North Carolina. Originally created by Pastor Steven Furtick in 2006, the group was formed out of the eight families that originally attended his church. Their guitar based music and inspirational lyrics have since seen the church expand to multiple locations throughout the US. Elevation Worship has released three independent albums and three studio albums with Essentials Records. Over the bands career, there have been many contributing members, chiefly Chris Brown, Matthews Ntlele, Mack Brock, Wade Joye, London Gatch, Jane Williams, Brad Hudson, Andrea Smith and Jonsal Barrientes For Elevation Church attendees, they released their limited album, "Live Worship", in 2006. Their wider released independent albums soon followed with 2008’s "We Are Alive", 2009’s "God With Us" and 2010’s "Kingdom Come". The latter became the band's first album to reach US charts, climbing to number five on Heatseekers Independent Albums chart and reaching number 17 on Top Christian Albums. The success caught the attention of contemporary Christian label Essential Records, and the group signed with them in 2011. Their debut studio album in 2011, "For the Honor", reached number one on Heatseekers and number 19 on Top Christian Albums, even reaching 193 on the Billboard 200 charts. Their following album, "Nothing is Wasted", earned number one on Christian Albums, catapulting it to number 41 on Billboard. Their most recent release, 2014’s "Only King Forever", became their biggest success yet, climbing to number 23 on Billboard’s 200 and earning number two on Top Christian Albums. Singles "Jesus I Come", "Only King Forever", "Raised To Life" and "Unstoppable God" all earned top 50 spots on Hot Christian Singles charts. "Wake Up The Wonder", was released on November 25, 2014.
