10 Powerful Bible Verses To Meditate On

The Word of God is full of powerful verses that we should meditate on. To meditate is to deeply think through and ponder something. It’s one thing to set time aside each day to read through a passage of scripture, it’s another to meditate on a passage or verse.

For starters why not take time to meditate on these 10 powerful Bible verses:

10. Law vs. Grace

Galatians 2:19-21 For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

9. Hide His Word

Psalm 119:9-11 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

8. Help Me Believe

Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

7. I Am Free

1 Peter 2:16-17 Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

6. Seek Him First

Mark 1:35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, [Jesus] departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

5. I Can Do It All, Through Him

Philippians 4:10-13 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

4. Be Transformed

Romans 12:2  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

3. Confess and Be Cleansed

1 John 1:19  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2. What should I think about?

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

1. God’s Love

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
