Palmer is an emerging band from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The passionate desire of the band is to reach out to this generation for Christ through music. Palmerâ?Ts prayer is that everyone, no matter where they are at in their spiritual journey, will connect with God and experience His presence through their music. The trio consists of Scott Honea on guitar and vocals, Lori Honea on bass, and Todd Toven on drums.

Todd Toven met Scott Honea in April of 2005. Scott was serving as worship leader at Community Church of the Rockies (CCR) in Colorado Springs & was living a normal life with his wife Lori and their little son Ethan. Todd became friends with Scott and then became the new drummer at CCR. Scott and Todd's relationship grew over the summer.

In July 2005, Scott proposed to Todd the idea that the two play a set at a local coffee shop. Along with Lori Honea (Scott's wife) the trio played what would be a pivotal show one Friday night. The set consisted of a few originals written by Lori and Scott along with some worship tunes. Nobody expected what came next. Todd comments, "After we finished playing I had a few people come up to me and ask if we had a CD out! I was blown away. We weren't even a band. That was our first time playing together. I was thinking, no we don't have a CD out...but maybe we should."

The trio played a few small shows in August and by September made the decision to take the opportunity that God had given them and run with it.

The band traveled to Texas in November 2005 to record their debut CD / EP...only 3 months after officially forming. The CD "in that day" consists of 4 songs all written by Lori. One listen to the title track and you will know instantly that there's something special about Palmer's music. Lori says, "God gives me these songs and I feel so blessed to be able to share them. I am amazed at the way people have responded to them." Guitarist Luke Lauber joined the band in the studio to lay down lead guitar & background vocals. Palmer has been performing regularly in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. Palmer's live shows are pulling in new fans & friends of all ages. The band is in search for a record label and plans on touring in the near future.

The name, Palmer, was chosen at a local diner when Scott, Todd, and friend John decided it sounded good, Todd thought it looked good on a design layout, and was the last name of the founder of Colorado Springs (General William Jackson Palmer)....
