John Reilly Band
 Rate It
This original and eclectic "Indie-Symphonic-Rock" band led by singer/songwriter John Reilly has graced the stage alongside artists like the NEWSBOYS, CROSS MOVEMENT, STARFIELD, THE STARTING LINE, COMMON, and the SMALLTOWN POETS. Reilly is joined by a marriage of dueling fiddlers, Dan and Noele Huie, bassist Matthew Bomberger and drummer Kyle Thoman. They've found their music connecting with audiences at venues such as the World Café Live, the Trocadero Theater, North Star Bar, Delaware Grand Opera House and the Wachovia Spectrum. The band is currently promoting their 2005 independent release, While I was on Earth. A new record is in the plans for 2006.

Despite the band's pursuit of excellent innovative music, Reilly claims their goal is not to be the next big rock stars. "The world has enough rock stars. It doesn't need five more. We're seeking to write music that points people to the hope that we've found in Christ. When our head hits the pillow at night, that's what really matters."

"The John Reilly Band is a rare and excellent blend of skillful artistry and sound theology. The musicianship of the band is colorful and well executed. Their music and their live performances display a fresh and seasoned sound that will appeal to a broad range of tastes. It is smoothly eclectic, weaving melodic guitars, violins, flute and vocals through a labyrinth of time signatures, moods and themes. Their acoustic presentation is original and familiar. There is a chemistry among the band that is linked not only to their skills working together, but is reflective of the fellowship they share in their walk with Christ."...
