Freznel Lenz is a 5-pce original christian band from Lancaster County PA. Their songs are an eclectic mix of styles, ranging from Country to Calypso, Blues to Bluegrass, Rock'n'Roll to Latin soul, and even Swing and Jazz.
All songs lyrically point to Jesus Christ, while appealing to a wide range of musical tastes.
The group gets its name from one of the optical marvels of the early 19th century. A Fresnel Lens is the prism that is used in lighthouses which magnifies the light so that it can be seen by the lost.
Psalms 34:3 says to "magnify the Lord. Let us extol His name together!"
It is the mission of Freznel Lenz to "magnify" the Light of Christ wherever and whenever we are blessed with opportunities to play our special brand of live music.
In another inspirational scripture, the band finds direction in Psalms 33:3, where it says to "sing a NEW song unto the Lord, play skillfully, and shout for joy!"
The band's newest CD entitled "Laus Deo", (which is Latin for "praise be to God") can be obtained by visiting their website www.freznellenz.com . While there you can learn more about Freznel Lenz, as well as check their schedule to see when you can come hear them live.
