It took five years, numerous band member changes, and hours upon hours of hard work and dedication but Captured has finally come into their own as a unique and powerful rock band. Over the course of these five years, Capturedbs guitarist/songwriter Tristan Adams experimented with a variety of styles ranging from loungey acoustic singer/songwriter tunes all the way to thrashing punk rock. June 2004 saw the release of Capturedbs defining EP featuring five songs that were developed over the course of two years of intermittent live performances and rehearsals. After 500 copies sold in less than a year Capotured has just released their first full length CD that is turning heads in the music industry and igniting fans all over the U.S.
The band's original line-up consisted of guitar, vocals, saxophone, bass, and drums. Today, the saxophone has been retired as the band has effectively condensed their sound to a catchy blend of all they experimented with since the band's original formation. Surviving founders Chris Haile and Tristan Adams maintain the bandbs original vision with the help of Daniel Malone's thrashing yet tasteful percussion style and Dawson Huss' fist-pounding basslines.
Lyrically, the band strives to bring a positive yet realistic message to the angst-tinged rock-and-roll scene that exists today. Captured offers real substance out of personal experience and deeply held conviction delivered through their guitar driven melodic style. Recognizing the common search for truth and meaning that all people share the band uses their music as a platform to relate and express this idea. Inspiring others along the way, Captured reveals who they are through truth, harsh reality, and vulnerability.
