OneWord original Worship rock founded on the rock of Salvation, Jesus!
the three members of oneWord have had their share of playing in a variety of bands. andy and tamara found themselves in a band in need of a guitarist and were fortunate enough to work with glenn for a time. that project split up, but by the grace of God, glenn, tamara and andy were brought back together with a unified spirit. having dedicated their lives to Christ, they decided to use their talents for the glory of God, and formed oneWord in 1997. since then, they have been playing for churches, youth groups, retreats, outreaches, and at coffeehouses in pennsylvania, new jersey and maryland.
oneWord has long believed that when God bestows a gift on one of His children, He does so in order to bring glory to Himself. to that end, andy, glenn, and tamara actively seek out opportunities for giving back to God of their time, talent, and treasure.
as a band, they look for ways for oneWord to get involved in local ministry and short-term missions. for the past few summers, they have the privledge of ministering with pennsylvania racing outreach at pocono raceway and the boardwalk chapel in willdwood, nj. they also look for opportunities to minister at their local churches by being involved on Sunday mornings or at special outreach and worship events. As part of ucan - united Christian artists network, they also get opportunities to get involved with many multicultural and combined group ministries. also, the members of the band are involved in assisting with Christian counseling seminars called bridges seminars on a regular basis. ... |
