Chasing More Than Wind is a group of unified, like-minded Christian young men who are actively seeking to chase more than wind in every part of their lives. Birthed out of an overwhelming passion to minister to others and armed with the God-given talents and desires to minister through music, the cornerstone principle of this band, as with any ministry, is to follow Godbs Perfect Will. b Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the windb&b (New International Bible, Ecclesiastes 2.11) In other words, everything is meaningless unless it is pointed at the Purpose of purposes. We believe that there is no individual value in music or artistic pursuits, for like many other things, they lack the purposeful aspects of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We see music as a lifeless medium through which the Holy Spirit can whisper the Truth, Grace, Hope, and Love of Jesus Christ. We all believe that God has uniquely called us, by His Grace, to minister to others, specifically the unbelieving. Therefore, our music and lyrics reflect the urgency, temperance, hope, and reality of who Jesus Christ is, accompanied with the real life struggles that make us imperfect humans. Our desire is to reverence a higher calling, pursue a deeper influence, and to chase more than wind.... |
