The idea for Relevant first started to take shape in 2004 in the little town of Duluth, GA. At that point, Relevant was the worship band for a church in Dillsburg, PA known to its members as MRC. Since that time, the band has known a few different forms (and still does to this day). The idea to strike out as a "real band" came when we were approached in late 2004 when MRC decided to fund the recording project that came to be known as "The Missing Piece," an album that would consist of a combination of both original material and covers of popular worship songs. After the album's release in December 2005, the core members of the group decided to take the idea of being a band one step further. Beginning in 2006, Dave, Kenny, Ang, and Tuck will be playing more shows and writing new material with the end goal being to bring meaningful music to people searching for reality. The word relevant means "having a bearing on or connection to the matter at hand." Our purpose as a band is to play music that has a message, music whose lyrics really mean something, music that is - well, relevant to peoples' lives. ... |
