Matthew 5:14-16: You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden; neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.
We are Light, a solid Christian band who endeavors to spread the good news to all mankind, one gig at a time.
We are three brothers: Jack Johnston, 23, drums; Isaiah Johnston, 21, lead vocals and bass guitar, and Peter Johnston, 18, backing vocals and electric guitar.
We have been playing together since we first picked up instruments, Isaiah and Jack for 8 years, and Peter for 7. When not playing live or recording in the studio, most of our musical time is well spent honing our skills in church, playing Sunday morning worship service, and Peter continues to play for Wednesday night youth group.
Light, in its current state (new songs, new singers), has been together for 1 year, playing shows in our hometown as well as others nearby. We play Christ-centered rock, dynamic and powerful, and strive to live out our message daily.
Our vision for the future is to continue to spread the message of Jesus Christ, wherever and whenever we can. This band is not just for fun, this is what we feel that God has called us to do.
