Patience. For Noah Surgener this band is the product of patience. After walking away from a band that was a huge part of his life, he felt like there was more for him musically. Wanting to move on this dream, Noah felt God tugging on his heart to remain patient and not to move quickly. "Looking back," says Noah, "I thought I was ready but really I wasn't." Honing his writing quietly in his room he began to work with drummer Tammy Surgener to release a solo album. Once again God forced His patience. Half way through the recording unexpected medical reasons stopped everything. "Sometimes we are looking at everything going on around us and forget to look at what God is doing." says Noah. After revovering from eye surgery, Noah started playing with guitarist Brent Baker who he played with five years earlier in the same band. "It was like God let us go in seperate directions to grow and become better musicians." says Brent. Brent recommended Zach Lucas and the band was complete. "Each person comes in and brings their own style and creativity and a chemisty has come from that which is very exciting." says Tammy. Taking Grace's mission is to bring creatively strong music that is passionate about God and the faith they live by to the world. God has given us Grace and it is there for the taking. We must take it everywhere we go in our daily lives and give it to those we encounter. ... |
