Given the name Ming at birth (which means “Radiant” in Chinese), Ming has devoted the last handful of years to writing songs that are just that, radiant and inspiring.
The debut album Summer Day was recorded at the same studio as Jeremy Camp, with musicians that have worked with the David Crowder Band, Incubus, and many others.
Growing up in Los Angeles, music was not a major part of life. Forced to play piano at a young age like every other Chinese boy… Ming would rather pick bird droppings off his mama’s car.. in the middle of the Mojave desert. So.. piano was dropped at the earliest opportunity. Little did he know that 10 years later his bones would yearn just to touch the smooth silky keys of a piano.
After graduating from UCLA with a Computer Science major, Ming ended up moving and working amidst the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. The high paying job left him more and more hollow. Eventually Ming left it all behind to find who he was.
After moving back to LA, a process of discovery and passion birthed deep within. And for the past 6 years, Ming has been passionately songwriting. Come discover one of the freshest artists in Christian music today.... |
