Robert Segovia
Born July 3, 1984 to Roberto and Maria Segovia, now a Worship Leader, Recording Artist, full time employee, and proud husband and father. Sometimes we dont' take the path that gives us the best memories, but they are the paths that bring us where we are today. I was raised as a Church goer, but made alot of mistakes along the way. An "A" student through Elementary, but junior high was the worst. I started handing out with people who were bad influences and eventually became more like them. By Hight School I was in rebellion and denial. I started to do things that didn't please my parents or God, and eventually got caught. I saw the face of disappointment in my mom, and the lack of trust and communication. In the year 2003 I served as a translator for a missions trip in Reynosa, Mexico. That year I met a very special person that eventually became my wife. I was still not at the level that God was taking me, but God blessed me with a wonderful, patient wife that loves Him. She helped me in so many ways to become a better person for her, but more importantly, for God. We have been blessed with a beautiful girl and boy. It is hard to understand why God would bless a person like me... That had nothing of worth. This is how we know that God is Merciful and Great.... |

THE MESSAGE THAT I USUALLY TRY TO GET ACROSS IS MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY. fOR THE YOUTH TO LIVE A LIFE THAT PLEASES GOD AND NOT THE MEDIA OR PEOPLE. SO MANY TIMES IN MY LIFE I FOUND MYSELF IN THAT POSITION. TRYING TO PLEASE PEOPLE AND DO THINGS THAT I KNEW HURT GOD. THE TRAPS OF ALCOHOL, SMOKING, SWEARING, AND PARTYING. DOING DRUGS AND EVENTUALLY GETTING CAUGHT BY MOM. SEEING THE FACE OF DISSAPOINTMENT IN HER FACE. SO MANY TIMES WE PORTRAY GOD AS A "GOD WHO DOESN'T CARE". BUT I THINK SO MANY TIMES WE FORGET THAT GOD IS SO MUCH LIKE A PARENT TO US. AND SOMETIMES HAS A FACE OF DISSAPOINTMENT JUST LIKE MY MOTHER DID. THE MESSAGE I TRY TO GET ACROSS IS THE MESSAGE
OF, "I'VE BEEN THERE". LIVE LIFE DIFFRENTLY; LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST.... BUT LIVE IT FOR GOD.

RIGHT NOW WE ARE IN A TRANSITION OF CHURCH. I WAS A WORSHIP LEADER IN THE CHURCH THAT WE ATTENDED. IN REAGARDS TO THE YOUTH, I'VE HELPED IN DIFFRENT EVENTS THAT THE YOUTH WOULD HAVE. WITH TRYING TO PROMOTE THE MUSIC AND EXPAND THE MINISTRY I HAVE PERFORMED IN DIFFRENT YOUTH EVENTS SOME THAT AREN'T REALTED WITH OUR CHURCH OR YOUTH. I HAVE ALSO LED WORSHIP IN RALLY'S, OUTREACH MINISTRIES, AND CAMP.
