The Ben Zornes Band has been around for about 3 years. We’ve led worship for numerous camps and retreats. God has been so gracious in giving us some amazing opportunities.
When Ben first picked up a guitar and starting singing and writing songs, he knew God was calling Him to rally this generation around the grandness of Christ’s renown. Along the way, Ben met Caleb, an amazing musician and passionate lover of Christ. They became fast friends! Caleb and Ben went on a mission trip together and sensed that they were being set apart for God’s kingdom purposes.
A month later, Ben became worship leader at a church and met Vince, an amazing guitarist. Ben and Vince just clicked. They could read each others minds as far as guitar playing goes! It was completely crazy: Ben would play a G chord on the 3 fret and Vince would compliment it with a riff up near the 12th (I think). It was amazing...
In the Summer of 2006 Ben, Vince and Caleb led worship at a large conference and the BZB officially began. They began booking gigs, and gaining an enthusiastic following. They began calling the church to a grander view of the Life which Christ purchased for us! It became glaringly apparent that they needed a bassist. Thus, Greta, a mutual friend of Ben and Caleb, was contacted, auditioned, and immediately accepted into our reformationary community.
In 2008, BZB was joined by New Hampshirian, Rich Pollard. Rich's heartbeat closely matched what God had placed on the heart of the rest of the band! And thus was grafted into the BZB kinship.
Over the past 2 years they have led worship for over 4000 people. They released their first EP in February 2008 and are following it up with a bootleg tour through portions of the country!
The Ben Zornes Band is passionate about living a radical life for Jesus Christ, the King of kings. In this post-modern era, we have, by and large, lost great Christianity, which depends solely on the Risen Jesus! We want to call the church to exhibit the type of faith that propelled Hudson Taylor, George Mueller, Augustine of Hippo, Athanasious, Detreich Bonhoeffer, Amy Charmichael, Gladys Aylward, Jim and Elisabeth Elliot, A.W. Tozer, Jonathan Edwards, the Wesleys, Charles Spurgeon, D.L. Moody, Ira Sankey, and so many others! Christ died to reconcile all things unto Himself, for His glory, His Fame, and His great Name! Those who believe in Him are now duly OWNED by Him and must gladly yield their very lives to His kingdom purposes! We have a Big God that fights for us!
