John Angotti's music touches the spirits and lives of all people, no matter their age. An accomplished and superb pianist, John began studying piano at the age of seven in Clarksburg, West Virginia. His mother, who has been a church musician for over 50 years, motivated him to become involved with church music when he was very young. John earned a degree in marketing from West Virginia University and then went on to study voice and piano at the United States Military School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia. He performed with the U.S. Navy Band for two years where he traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and parts of Europe. John has worked in church music ministry as director of children's, young adult, adult, and contemporary music choirs. He presents workshops on many topics as well as dynamic, spirit-filled concerts, retreats, and parish missions. In 2006, John became a full-time music missionary, traveling throughout the United States and abroad with his musical message of faith and hope. He is currently artist-in-residence at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Naperville, Illinois. In 2005 John received two Unity Awards from the United Catholic Music and Video Association (UCMVA): one for Praise and Worship SONG of the Year for THANKS AND PRAISE; the other for the Praise and Worship ALBUM of the year, for his CD TESTIFY. In 2006 John was honored by UCMVA again, this time for Pop/Contemporary ALBUM of the Year with ANGOTTI LIVE; for Pop/Contemporary SONG of the year with HERE I AM; and Male Vocalist of the Year. John's most recent CD, STAND IN THE LIGHT, made its debut in early 2007. It includes the 2007 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress theme song of the same name ...
