10 Songs That You Need In Your Life This Month

Almost everyone has a favorite song that gives them a lift when they are down. The Lord uses music to help us not only get through the difficult days, but also to remind us of our hope in Christ. While the beats and melodies may draw us to a particular song, it’s the lyrics that our spirits can relate to and benefit from as we sing along. Take a listen to these 10 songs this month:

How Sweet the Sound by Citizen Way

“For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate” (Luke 15:24).

Sometimes we can get so caught up in life that we forget the beauty and treasure of God’s amazing grace. This song reverberates in lyric and melody of the sweetness of being chosen by the Lord. The grace He gives each one of us is His unmerited favor and not based on anything we have done.

All I Need by Lecrae

“However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband” (Ephesians 5:33).

The joy of marriage is celebrated as a gift from our God. He meant for couples to need, enjoy, encourage, and love each other just as Jesus loves His church. This song brings a unique sound of rap, hip-hop, and R&B to make it the perfect couple’s song this year.

Greater by MercyMe

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).

If you ever have a bad day, step outside, and listen to this hand-clapping, knee-slapping, and toe tapping song. Christians are being persecuted and put down for their faith every day. Yet in spite of our bumps and bruises—we are the light of the world and greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.

Jesus I Love You by Pharis Evans and K-Bizz Voices

“We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19).

This smooth sounding song brings us to the full circle of expressing our love and appreciation for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We love Him because He first loved us in spite of our faults. Having a personal relationship with the Lord makes this love song all the more soul stirring.

Fix my Eyes by King & Country

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

There’s so much distraction in the world causing us to focus on the things that are temporary instead of the eternal value we have in Christ. Just as Peter could walk on water as he kept his eyes on Jesus—so we must keep our focus on His glory and power so that we don’t fall short of our goals both earthly and heavenly. This upbeat and personal song takes us there—fixing our eyes on Who is really important.

All I Have by NF

“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things” (Philippians 3:8).

Many of us have never been at a place where we’ve felt that all we have is God. We have family, friends, brothers, and sisters in Christ. However at some point in time—in our hour of trial—we will know what it is to only have God and that God would be enough for us. NF reminds us of that feeling of only needing God.

But God by Isaac Carree featuring James Fortune

“You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this” (Acts 3:15).

How many of us would’ve lost hope and given up if it hadn’t been for God? Everything would’ve been lost…but God. This unique, edgy song makes us remember how God is never late, but right on time when it comes to answering our prayers. There’s nothing that can happen to us that doesn’t first filter through His fingers of love.

Jesus Loves Me by Chris Tomlin

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

Many people are searching for love in all the wrong places and they find themselves used, abused, or fed up. However the love of Jesus for each person on this earth is powerful and never ending. We are most loved by Jesus. This simple, but elegant song brings the immediate truth of His love for us to the light.

Every Praise by Hezekiah Walker

“My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever” (Psalms145:21).

This energetic song will most likely get you out of your seat and singing along with Hezekiah and his choir with the praises to our God. The Lord is worthy of all worship and praise from His people. Many times when we are in the tough places—we can praise God and sense the heaviness lift. There is power in the praise.

I Found You by Anthony Evans

“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul” (Deuteronomy 4:29).

Anthony Evans brings out the powerful point that when we find God—we find everything we could ever need in this lifetime. The Lord brings our hope, joy, peace, and favor when we turn to Him instead of other people or things. Finding God is the single most important thing you will ever do in your life.
