Kari Jobe Receives Dove Award for 'Majestic' Album

Capitol CMG and GRAMMY-nominated worship artist Kari Jobe was honored with the GMA Dove Award for Praise and Worship Album of the Year for her media acclaimed release Majestic. Jobe also performed her song “Forever” from the award-winning album during the taped broadcast. The 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards were held last night at Lipscomb University at Allen Arena and will be aired on TBN this Sunday, October 12. This marks Jobe's fourth Dove Award and first Praise and Worship Album of the Year.

"I am so overwhelmingly honored to receive this Dove,” shares Jobe on her win last night. “Last night was filled with many sweet moments for me as I was able to lead worship with my song ‘Forever,' to being presented my award from the legendary Bill Gaither and Pat Boone and then standing in front of a room of those I respect, admire and worship to their music. How sweet it is to celebrate what God is doing in our lives and in the lives of those that God is reaching through our music and calling. This is more than an award to me, it’s an honor.”

Jobe released her Dove-winning album Majestic earlier this year debuting at No.1 on multiple Billboard charts. The album was her first live-recorded album as well as full-length DVD. She recorded the album in her hometown at the famed Majestic Theatre in Dallas last year. Her live performances on YouTube from this album have generated more than five million views. She also appeared this summer on the Fox News’ HUCKABEE program.
