Nashville, Tenn. (June 11, 2013) – Two-time GRAMMY®-nominated and platinum selling rock band Skillet have teamed with USA Today for the premiere of “Not Gonna Die,” the fourth track issued from their upcoming album, RISE (Atlantic/Word). Described by USA Today as “the kind of stirring rock Skillet fans have come to expect,”  the song can be heard here, and is also available for purchase on iTunes®.

RISE, which Billboard has already praised for “mixing new sonic flavors into the group’s hard-rock bombast,” is now available for pre-order via the band's website, will be released on June 25th.

Over the course of the past few weeks, the band has been building anticipation for the album’s arrival by releasing “Sick Of It” and “American Noise,” both of which shot to No. 1 on the iTunes® Rock Songs Chart (and at one point, were No. 1 and 2 on the chart). The third song released was the album’s title track, “Rise,” which hit No. 2.

Last week Revolver and Guitar World joint-premiered the official video for lead single “Sick Of It,” currently Top 15 on the mainstream Active Rock chart and rising, while also a massive No. 1 Christian Rock single for 6 weeks and counting. The video can now be seen here. Fans will be able to see Skillet perform the hit track live on CONAN July 11.

Following headlining most major Christian summer festivals, as well as mainstage peformances on numerous mainstream rock festivals, on August 11th, Skillet will hit the road as direct support to Shinedown on the Carnival of Madness tour, a road show that will see the quartet playing an electrifying mix of new songs and fan favorites. They’ll follow by heading overseas for a month long string of dates with Nickelback  in Paris, London, Milan, Berlin and more.  See below for full tour routing.

Also at Christian radio, critic fave "American Noise" is receiving its first adds at AC radio in its career, while quickly climbing the Hot AC/CHR chart, currently top ten at No. 8 with a bullet.

RISE follows the band's 2009 blockbuster, Awake, which was recently certified platinum for sales in excess of one million copies in the U.S. It’s worth noting that Skillet was the only active rock band to achieve platinum certification in 2012, and were one of only three rock bands (the other two being Mumford & Sons and the Black Keys) to strike platinum in 2012.

Awake debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart and No. 1 on the magazine's Top Modern Rock/Alternative Albums Chart. In addition, the record hit No. 1 on iTunes' Top Album Chart, garnered 3 Billboard Music Awards and spawned four hit singles including the No. 1 Active Rock smash and gold-certified “Awake & Alive,” the gold-certified "Hero," "It's Not Me It's You" and the platinum-certified "Monster." "Monster" lived up to its name, selling more than a million copies and hitting Top 5 at Active Rock radio (the first in a string of multiple Top 5 active rock hits), while its companion video has generated over 47 million YouTube views. The hook-happy "Hero" was featured in season-long spots for NBC's NFL Sunday Night Football and served as the official theme song for WWE's Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. The band toured endlessly in support, playing to sold-out crowds across the country, which earned them a spot on Pollstar's Concert Pulse Chart of the Top 50 Tours for fall of 2010. Awake followed the band’s 2006's gold-selling album, Comatose.

Over the course of the past few years have sold more than two million units in the U.S. alone, racked up more than 150 million YouTube views and amassed a diehard following (dubbed Panheads) whose members number in the millions, including over 4 million on Facebook alone.
