Seventh Day Slumber Bows 'We Are The Broken' May 13

We Are The Broken, the highly anticipated 10th studio recording from Dove Award-winning hard rockers Seventh Day Slumber, will release May 13 from VSR Music Group (Capitol Christian Distribution).

Helmed by Dove Award-winning producer Brent Milligan (Steven Curtis Chapman, David Crowder Band) and Seventh Day Slumber's Jeremy Holderfield, highlights of the high-energy nine-song set include “All She Wants,” “Comatose State” and “Skyscraper,” as well as the ballad “Trust In Me.” The project’s title cut and debut single is currently a Top 20 Christian Rock hit.

“With We Are The Broken, we wanted to write songs with no limitations or expectations,” says Holderfield. “Whatever riff came to mind, and whatever lyric God put on our hearts, we recorded it. To put it simply, it’s a completely honest album that takes us back to where we started. When you hear these songs there’s no doubt; THIS is Seventh Day Slumber. We couldn’t be prouder of the music.”

“We want people to know that no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve been through, you are not a lost cause,” says Seventh Day Slumber founder Joseph Rojas. “You are not hopeless, and you are not unloved! That encapsulates the meaning of the title, We Are The Broken.”

Debuting music from the project, Seventh Day Slumber will bring their City RockFest Tour 2014, also featuring Consumed By Fire and At The Wayside, to multiple cities around the country this summer. Known for playing smaller towns often overlooked by major tours, the City RockFest Tour is slated to hit Lancaster, Wisconsin; Simi Valley, California; Fort Pierce, Florida; Hannibal, New York; and Fredericksburg, Texas, among numerous other locations.

We Are The Broken marks Seventh Day Slumber's 10th recording. Selling a combined total of nearly 500,000 units to date, the band's 2005 release, Once Upon A Shattered Life, reached #1 on Billboard magazine’s Heatseekers Albums chart, while 2007’s Finally Awake landed at #1 on Billboard’s Top Christian and Gospel Albums chart. In 2009, Rescatame garnered a GMA Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year.
