Platinum selling rockers Skillet are celebrating the first award from their best-selling release RISE (Atlantic/Word) as their No. 1 hit “Sick of It” took home the Dove Award for Rock Song of the Year at last night’s 44th Annual Dove Awards held in Nashville at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena. The show will be televised exclusively on UP! Television Network on Monday, October 21 at 8:00 PM ET.

“Sick of It” which hit Top 10 at Mainstream Active Rock radio, is also one of two No. 1 Christian radio hits from the critically acclaimed RISE.  The track took just a week to grab the No. 1 spot at Christian Rock, with "American Noise" also hitting the top spot on the Christian Hot AC Chart. Their latest singles,  “Fire and Fury” and “Not Gonna Die,” which USA Today exclusively previewed, will impact radio this fall, with the band currently in Los Angeles shooting the video for “Not Gonna Die.”

Most recently the Associated Press profiled Skillet's success outside in the mainstream market in print and online, which saw pick up from ABC News, Yahoo!, USA Today, The Washington Post,  AOL, Salon, Pollstar and more.
Skillet recently wrapped the Carnival of Madness tour with Shinedown in August and headed straight to sold out shows in South America.  They’ll once again go overseas for their first-ever tour with Nickelback later this month, a 21-city  jaunt that will see Skillet playing Milan, Paris, Vienna, London, and many more.  In December the band returns to Russia for a short headline run.  For tour dates and all things Skillet visit their website
