In our highest moments of success and lowest moments of sadness, hugs are there when we need them most. Sometimes we don’t care who hugs us, just that we get embraced and comforted. But what feels better than a hug from our closest friends? A hug from God.

The power of these 21 Bible verses feel just like getting a hug from God. Why? The Bible reminds us that we are not alone in this world, not even for a moment. God told us He would always be there. But don’t take my word for it, read His message to us.

Psalms 103:8

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.



Matthew 6:26

Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?

Whatever people offer, God offers more.  Whenever people are happy for us, God is happier. If you’re like me, sometimes you forget just how much God loves us. Thank God for His Word to remind us of that steadfast love.

For now, we can’t receive that physical hug we want from God. But rest assured, in the end when we get to heaven, we may have that and so much more.
