THIRD DAY Presents "Lead Us Back: Songs of Worship" on Stands Now with Simultaneous Special Live Performance at the Famed Beacon Theatre in New York City

GRAMMY©, AMA and GMA Dove Award winning group THIRD DAY debuted its new worship album, LEAD US BACK:  SONGS OF WORSHIP nationwide today. Both standard and deluxe editions are available; the deluxe version includes a bonus disc of eight fan favorite live tracks, captured on the road from previous sold-out performances and two additional previously unreleased studio tracks. In conjunction with the release date of LEAD US BACK: SONGS OF WORSHIP, the band will have a special live performance at the famed Beacon Theatre in New York City. THIRD DAY’s “SOUL ON FIRE TOUR” will begin on March 5 (dates to be announced for March and April).  The debut single from the album titled “Soul On Fire” became the “Most Added” at Christian radio during add week, with 47 stations onboard.

Says vocalist Mac Powell, "We've been wanting to do a worship album for quite a while but have been waiting for the right time. NOW is that time! I believe this is the best batch of songs that we have ever recorded!” Bass player Tai Anderson adds, “LEAD US BACK is a call to worship not just for our audience but the band as well. Why now? We're ready for these songs. We're ready to feel God's spirit fall afresh on all of us again.”

The group’s two previous worship albums, OFFERINGS – A WORSHIP ALBUM in 2000 and OFFERINGS II – ALL I HAVE TO GIVE in 2003, have been the two biggest selling albums of the band’s career to date. “I think the essence of THIRD DAY’s music," says drummer David Carr, “has always had a thread of worship to it, whether we’ve classified an album as worship or not. Though we are confident in the direction we took on previous albums, we felt it was time for us to revisit the emotion and heart that comes through when the songs are unabashedly directed to God.”  Adds guitarist Mark Lee, “We let the songs we’re working on at any given time dictate the direction of our next project and when we started to write more rock tunes and ballads in line with our other albums, we decided to hold off. This time, Mac brought a batch of great songs to the table that all fit together thematically in the worship context, so our intention to make that the focus was there from the start on LEAD US BACK.”
