I have been listening to dc Talk since I was in kindergarten. My first concert was a dc Talk concert when I was 6 in Cleveland, OH. I have ALL of the dc Talk / tobymac CD's including the every remix CD. My sophomore year of high school I went to the Solo Tour and bought a shirt to small because it was the only size left. I saw Winter Jam 3 TIMES last year!! I have met toby several times at different venues. I have a poster in my dorm room signed and I have a hat that I bought from the last Winter Jam show I went to. Whenever he is in town, or at least within a few hours, I am there! Tobymac is the man and he is always on fire for God, that's why I love the dude. He isn't a sell out! He has stuck to his Christian roots and is raising an amazing family based on those beliefs.
Week 5 Finalist: Maria

My kids will vouch that I'm tobyMac's biggest fan. I was seriously considering traveling over 9 hours to be at his Winter Jam Tour. I was so sad that I couldn't go.
It was Toby's 40th birthday when I first saw him perform live. Toby signed the poster my daughter made; it is now proudly displayed in her room. It was amazing watching this 40 year old guy jumping around like he was in his 20s. It made me realize that I'm not too old to rock for Jesus & it's okay to go crazy for HIM. I've seen Toby perform every year after that and always am blessed.
I love you TobyMac. Thanks for keeping it real. You are such an inspiration and I am honored to be one of your loyal fans. You were made to be Loved, indeed!

Freak of the Week finalist 4 is Dimitra from Yorkville, IL. About tobyMac and his music, Dimitra says:
If you wanted to know if I loved tobymac, all you have to do is look at me. Whether it's the worn-out band glued to my wrist, the tee-shirts, thousands of photos of him, the pictures framed, the autographs, the merchandise, etc, etc, it is all obvious that I am a major tobymac freak! I've been to four of his concerts! I talk about him everyday; I even met the guy twice! His music is blasting on my headphones 24/7.
But, that is only the physical sense of my strong admiration for tobymac. Spiritually and emotionally, his music and his spirituality have helped me overcome many hardships in my life. I won't lie: I've been anorexic and bulimc for a long time, and also began cutting myself for a while. But now, instead of taking out my pain and anger on myself, I put on his music. "Irene" probably inspired me the most. And "All In" seriously made me cry as my life flashed before my eyes.
Tobymac's music helped me see that God still loves me even though I did this to myself. I am crazy for tobymac, and am definitely one of his freaks fo' real! He is totally awesome and I will always love him for who he is! Plus...our birthdays are only one day apart. You can't beat that!

It all started when my big brother gave me my first "Toby" Cassette when I was 11 (I'm 25 now) and I have been listening to him ever since.
When Toby takes the stage or is Boomin' out my stereo, I can sing along and know God hears what I am saying, whether I am praising, repenting, or just hangin' with Him.
Toby is more than just a good singer. He is a true leader, by example, of a Christian life in the most unpretentious way. He always makes sure that the focus is on God, not him. He lets it all go and exposes the truth by his gifted songwriting, fantastic vocals, and amazing beats. Toby is the artist who ministers to me through song.
I had the privilege of meeting Toby, after driving 9 hours to see him live, in an autograph line. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited inside just like a little girl. The pictures he signed are framed and are displayed proudly in our living room. That was one of the best days of my life. I thank God for Toby and pray that he keeps doing what he does.

We are pleased to announce that the Freak of the Week finalist 1 is Kylie from Lake Worth, FL. About her tobyMac fan-dom, Kylie says:
I hope the picture speaks for itself. I have tobyMac's water bottle, autograph, pictures and shirts. I'm the girl who basically pays his salary through his merch store! I've seen him 6 times in the past two years and traveled over four hours to see "Diverse City" played live. I named my cat tobyMac, no joke. Instead of using the term BFF to call my closest friends, we use WDFF, or, Whoopsi Daisy Friends Forever. In youth group, I decided to say "I [tobyMac] you" to all my friends instead "I love you." It practically means the same thing!
There'd5s a good reason why I like tobyMac. I was a fake Christian for eleven years, talking the talk but not even trying to walk His walk. The "Irene" truly changed my life because if God could love that young mother, He could love me. I committed my life to Jesus two months after WTDC, and Burn for You was my anthem. God used tobyMac'd5s music to bring me to Him, and that'd5s why I'd5m tobyMac'd5s number one fan. Just ask my cat.
