10/22/2009 - Newsong Launches Give Yourself Away
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Give Yourself Away, the 18th recording from GRAMMY-nominated NewSong, is slated to bow November 24 on the group’s new imprint, His Honor Music, which is distributed by EMI CMG. Marking the official return of acclaimed vocalist Russ Lee to the group, the project is also NewSong’s first collaboration with one of Christian music’s most renowned producers, Charlie Peacock.
“EMI CMG is very honored by our new partnership with NewSong,” said Bill Hearn, President and CEO, EMI CMG. “NewSong has made a tremendous impact in people's lives over the years with great songs and their vision for ministry. We share their heart for seeing lives changed through powerful music and the wonderful experience of their live events.”
In another first for the band, every Give Yourself Away CD includes a free copy of the recording to be given away. NewSong hopes the initiative will enable twice as many people to be impacted by the music, as fans put into action the project’s main theme.
Featuring 10 selections, Give Yourself Away is hallmarked by NewSong’s message-driven songs and signature tight harmonies, set against a modern pop backdrop. Highlights of the album include the debut single, “That’s What Mercy Is,” penned by Eddie Carswell and Matthew West; “Too Wonderful,” written by Carswell and Sanctus Real’s Matt Hammitt; and the Carswell and Peacock-penned “Thousand Steps”; among others. The project also features an 11th track, the bonus “Every Child (Deserves A Home),” inspired by NewSong’s partnership with adoption and child welfare agency Holt International.
“Give Yourself Away is one of the most exciting records we have ever made,” said NewSong’s founding member Eddie Carswell. “We’re thrilled to have Russ back, and working with Charlie was an honor. Plus, it’s not everyday a label decides they’re just going to give away copies of a CD, so I’m extremely humbled by our relationship with EMI CMG and their desire to help us spread the gospel.”
NewSong is currently headlining the “Give Yourself Away Tour” with special guests Bluetree and Chynna & Vaughan. Before concluding November 15 in Corinth, Mississippi, the Tour will hit a total of 20 cities, including Jacksonville, Florida; Decatur, Illinois; Forsyth, Missouri; and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
One of Christian music’s most highly regarded and successful bands, NewSong’s 28 years in ministry have yielded 17 albums; 20 #1 singles; and a GRAMMY Award nomination, among numerous other achievements. The annual “Winter Jam Tour Spectacular,” which was created by the band, has grown to become one of the largest tours in all the music industry. Hosted each year by NewSong, Winter Jam saw more than 335,000 attendees with 69,700 decisions made for Christ in 2009. NewSong’s now-classic 2001 ballad, “The Christmas Shoes,” was a #1 hit at mainstream AC radio and inspired the top-rated CBS television movie of the same name.

10/1/2009 - Tenth Avenue North Wraps Headlining "Inside and In Between" Tour
Tenth Avenue North, the reigning GMA Dove Awards New Artist of the Year, wrapped its 12-city “Inside and In Between” Tour last week performing before 7,000 fans and seeing an incredible six shows sold out. The tour, the band’s first headlining effort, is the latest evidence of Tenth Avenue North’s steady ascension since the May 2008 release of its debut, Over and Underneath (Reunion Records), which made them the best-selling new Christian artist of 2008 and is moving strongly toward the 180,000 sales mark and spending 70 weeks on the Top Current Contemporary Christian Chart.
Tenth Avenue North’s second single “Hold My Heart,” tallied 12 million impressions this week, and has proven to be another double-chart smash (currently No. 6 AC Monitored and No. 3 CHR), distinguishing the band as the only artist this year to place two songs (the other being “By Your Side”) simultaneously in the AC Monitored Top 10.
The title of the tour comes from a lyric in the song “Times,” from Over and Underneath: “My love is over, it’s underneath, it’s inside, it’s in between,” as it speaks of Christ’s love for us. According to lead vocalist Mike Donehey, the Inside and In Between experience is designed “to remind people of the audacious grace and impenetrable love offered to them through Jesus Christ. Our hope with this tour is that people would encounter truth, and be moved and changed by that truth. We want this to be a place and a time that people can experience community.”
Promoters for the sold out shows in Cartersville, Ga.; Omaha, Neb.; Baytown, Texas; Indianapolis, Ind.; and Lake Zurich, Ill. were very excited to share their tour experiences.
“The ‘Inside and In Between’ Tour was the first concert event we did in our new facility and it could not have been more a perfect choice,” said Will Goodwin, Cartersville, Ga. “Tenth Avenue North was phenomenal as expected but Brenton Brown’s transparent authenticity and Audrey Assad’s brilliant voice were the quintessential appetizer to a glorious three course worshipful feast.”
“I was proud to bring in Tenth Avenue North and will do it again. Tenth Avenue has a pure joy about getting up on stage and leading others toward Christ,” said Andy Turner, Omaha, Neb.
“Our night with Tenth Avenue North was terrific!” said Kevin Pate, Baytown, Texas. “It was a time of great worship, music, and truth. Our sold out crowd loved their message and the presentation was excellent. It is a blessing to put a show together with guys that are the same backstage as they are on stage. Authentic!”
“Working with Tenth Avenue North was a phenomenal experience for our production company and the hosting church,” said Chris Linhart, Indianapolis, Ind. “From the moment they arrived it was apparent that the band was ‘the real deal’ and very much into ministering to people in the audience.”
“Tenth Avenue North was by far the best show we’ve done to date,” said Keri Rohde, Lake Zurich, Ill. “The guys have such a heart for Christ, and it is evident in how they interact with people, as well as while they are on the stage.”

Terry Hemmings, President and CEO of Provident Music Group, who originally signed us to Reunion Records back in 1995, was on hand to induct us. This was such a great way to celebrate 15 years together. Here’s to 15 more!”
The Georgia Music Hall of Fame honor was the latest in the line of special moments for the band this summer, including the recent acquisition of its 27th career No. 1 radio single, “Born Again” from the 2008 release Revelation. The single sits at No. 1 on the AC Indicator charts this week for the fifth consecutive week with nearly 18 million impressions this week and 227 million impressions since the single was released to radio May 8th, 2009.
The band hits the road again starting Oct. 8 for the fall leg of the “Revelation Tour,” which will also feature artists from the roots gospel project Glory Revealed, a lineup that includes Third Day’s Mac Powell, author/speaker David Nasser, Laura Story, Trevor Morgan, Shawn Lewis and other

9/22/2009 - Me In Motion, Signs With Centricity Music And Set To Embark On Newsboys The Way We Roll Tour This Fall
Nashville, TN (September 22, 2009) ---- The year 2009 is going to be a life changing time for the band, Me In Motion. The group has signed with Centricity Music and will embark on the Newsboys The Way We Roll Tour October 1st.
"We are so excited to add Me In Motion to the Centricity family,” says Conor Farley, Vice President, Centricity Music Publishing. “This is the band we have been looking for as a label since they bring faithful hearts, great songs and a rock’n roll live show that leaves you energized and encouraged. Their vision for ministry is deep but reachable, which gives them a great ability to connect with their fans. Me In Motion consistently amazes me.”
Me In Motion’s debut project will release to CBA retail in spring 2010 and the good news for fans is that the band will be selling early copies of the new CD at all Newsboys concert dates and digitally online. The first single from the new album, “Losers,” has been serviced to CHR radio with an add date of October 16th.
Me In Motion, which is comprised of Seth Mosley (lead vocals/guitar), Tim Wilson (bass/background vocals) and Brian Dexter (drums/background vocals), was formed by Mosley after working two years in a recording studio following high school graduation. After realizing he didn’t want to “sit in one place all the time,” was when he brought Wilson and Dexter on board to begin the musical journey as Me In Motion. The talent of the group immediately brought them attention which led to 140 tour dates in 2008 and Me In Motion will surpass this number of dates in 2009. But more than playing Brit-influenced rock, it’s the message that Me In Motion wants to impact with their audiences.
“We want to inspire people to realize that there is something to be done here and now,” says Mosley. “We want to encourage people to be movers and shakers for Christ.”
The Christian music industry got to experience the dynamic performance of Me In Motion when they made their debut GMA appearance at Centricity Music’s showcase in April. The group received a rousing response from the industry VIPS and there were even standing ovations.

9/14/2009 - Newsboys Announces "The Way We Roll" 2009 Fall Tour
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Sept. 14, 2009—Internationally renowned rock band newsboys announces its 2009 “The Way We Roll” fall tour, kicking off in October. The legendary group will be joined by BEC Recordings’ Seventh Day Slumber, independent artist Bread of Stone, and recent Centricity Records signing Me In Motion.
newsboys’ first dedicated tour in support of its May 2009 release, In The Hands of God, “The Way We Roll” is also the band’s first full-length tour featuring new frontman Michael Tait, who stepped into the role earlier this year. The four-act bill will visit nearly 30 cities though November, including major markets Atlanta, Houston, Chicago and Dallas. A tentative tour itinerary follows this release. For the most up-to-date list of tour dates, visit www.myspace.com/newsboys.
“My excitement is barely containable,” says newsboys frontman Michael Tait. “I’m so anticipating playing more markets, states and venues that I haven’t yet played as lead singer of newsboys. My curiosities are still very much alive as to the fans and people in general’s opinion about all that’s going on with the new newsboys!"
With five gold albums, sales exceeding six million units, 25 No.1 radio hits, and a mantle of Dove Awards as well as Grammy nominations, newsboys has achieved phenomenal success in its two decades together. Known for its amazing live performances and groundbreaking tours, the band continues to sellout festivals and concerts worldwide, satisfying diehard fans and winning new ones in the process. The band’s fourteenth studio project, In The Hands of God, released May 5, 2009, is an autobiographical record and a tribute to God’s divine providence over newsboys’ long-running career. Its first week, In the Hands of God debuted at No. 1 on the SoundScan Christian Albums chart, Christian Adult Contemporary Albums chart, Christian Digital chart, No. 1 on iTunes’ Christian/Gospel Top Albums chart and No. 28 on the Billboard Top 200. The occasion marked Inpop Records’ biggest ever street week in its 10-year history and the first No.1 record for newsboys since releasing Adoration in 2003. Additionally, the album’s first single and title track claimed the No.1 spot on Radio & Records Christian AC chart. For more information on newsboys, visit www.newsboys.com or www.mypsace.com/newsboys.
From its indie beginnings at the tip of the 2000s to debuting on BEC Recordings in 2005, Seventh Day Slumber has continuously raised the bar of alternative rock excellence coupled with an unabashed gospel message. As most will recall front man Joseph Rojas was delivered from depression and a $400 per day cocaine addiction, but the story doesn’t end there. In 2006, Rojas formed Teenhopeline, Inc. to reach out to hurting teenagers and young adults in ways that are relevant to them. Teenhopeline, Inc. has now partnered with Seventh Day Slumber to ensure that those who come to the alter do not fall through the cracks when they head back to their day-to-day life. In 2009, Seventh Day Slumber released their first worship project “Take Everything,” which applied their rock, alternative style to worshipful songs. The band also received their first DOVE Award win for “Spanish Language Album” (“Rescatamé”). For more information visit: www.seventhdayslumber.com and follow the band on Twitter @7thdayslumber .
Infused with an energy that finds its source in their passion for bringing others closer to Jesus, Bread of Stone is a Christian band based out of Sioux City, Iowa with a sound all their own. Coming from Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, Bread of Stone was formed by two brothers Ben (vocals) and Bill Kristijanto (guitar) and later joined by friends, Jeremi Hough (drums) and Tim Barnes (bass), they have answered the call to ministry through inspiring music. With a unique blend of rock, pop, and worship, their music takes listeners on a journey through the heights and depths of the human experience. When asked about the significance of the name “Bread of Stone," they state we are all merely stones that God turns into bread to feed the hungry and that without Him, no one can accomplish good in this downfallen world. With the grace of God flowing through their ministry, they have had the opportunity to see numerous people come to know the Lord. They are determined to glorify Him in everything they do, for this is the true heart of Bread of Stone.
Centricity Music’s newly signed band, Me In Motion, is comprised of Seth Mosley (lead vocals/guitar), Tim Wilson (bass/background vocals) and Brian Dexter (drums/background vocals). The group, that is known for their high-energy performances and Brit-influenced rock n’roll, created Me In Motion two years after high school and immediately hit the road with a heavy touring schedule. Having honed their musical, vocal and performing skills the band is now poised to make their entrance on the national stage. Me In Motion is gearing up for their debut project on Centricity Music that will release in spring 2010 in CBA stores but will be available this fall online and at the newsboys concert dates.

9/9/2009 - Tenth Avenue North Headlines "Inside and In Between" Tour
Tenth Avenue North, the reigning GMA Dove Awards New Artist of the Year, hits another milestone in a soaring career by launching its first headlining tour this week in Indianapolis. The “Inside and In Between Tour,” currently scheduled in 14 cities through September, kicks off on Thursday, September 3, at Indianapolis’ Lifepoint Church. Joining Tenth Avenue North on all dates will be singer/songwriter Audrey Assad (EMI/CMG) and worship leader Brenton Brown (Survivor/Kingsway).
The tour is the latest evidence of Tenth Avenue North’s steady ascension since the May 2008 release of its debut, Over and Underneath (Reunion Records), which made them the best-selling new Christian artist of 2008 and is moving strongly toward the 175,000 sales mark holding on to a No. 9 chart position last week. The album’s breakout single, “By Your Side” – which has surpassed 800 million cumulative impressions – enjoyed a 43-week stay in the Top 10 on the AC Monitored chart and reached No. 1 on the R&R AC Indicator and CHR charts, making Tenth Avenue North the only new artist in the past year to have two multi-format No. 1s.
Follow-up single “Hold My Heart,” tallying 10 million impressions weekly, has proved to be another double-chart smash (currently No. 8 AC Monitored and No. 4 CHR), distinguishing the band as the only artist this year to place two songs simultaneously in the AC Monitored Top 10.
“'Hold My Heart’ is quality music, with a quality message! At one time or another, we will all be in a place crying out to God asking Him to make His presence known in our lives. Tenth Avenue North paints that picture beautifully,” says Michael Grimm, KLJC -FM/Kansas City.
Tenth Avenue North’s victory at the 2009 GMA Dove Awards in the New Artist category – an honor voted by industry and fans – underscored its growing reputation as an intensely fan-connected band that is “part of a new wave of artists breathing life into the CCM format” (Don Schaeffer, WVFJ-FM/Atlanta).
Ed Lomnicki of Chicago-based Edan concerts (www.edanconcerts.com) shares, “One of the main reasons I wanted to bring Tenth Avenue North into our market was because of the excitement the band created at this year’s Ignite Chicago Festival. They really connected with the crowd and I got a good sense of their passion and love for the Lord. These guys simply have an ability to be transparent with their audience...This may explain why we sold out in just 2 weeks!”

9/1/2009 - Tenth Avenue North on The Inside and In Between Tour
Honored at this year’s GMA Dove Awards as the industry’s New Artist of the Year, Tenth Avenue North gears up for its first headlining tour launching on Sept. 3. Special guests include singer/songwriter Audrey Assad (EMICMG) and worship leader Brenton Brown (Survivor/Kingsway). While a full list of markets and venues have not yet been released, the “Inside and In Between” tour has been confirmed in five major cities including Indianapolis, Ind.; Omaha, Neb.; San Antonio, TX; Houston, TX and Washington, DC.
“I’m unbelievably excited about this tour and the artists that we have coming out with us. Brenton and Audrey are deep thinkers and compassionate souls. Our hope with this tour is that people would encounter truth, and be moved and changed by that truth,” shares Mike Donehey, Tenth Avenue North. “We want this to be a place and time that people can experience community, and hopefully, walk away with a deeper understanding of the gospel.”
“We are excited about Tenth Avenue North’s first headline tour this Fall,” shares Kevin Huffman, TCAA/Paradigm. “With them being a part of larger tours over the past year, many fans have only become familiar with the band’s music. This time out, audiences will get to experience more of what the band is about at its core. They’ll really get to hear the heart behind Tenth Avenue North.”
Earlier this year Tenth Avenue North performed on the “Rock & Worship Road Show” with MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Hawk Nelson and Addison Road. With almost 170,000 in attendance at the shows and nearly 75,000 people watching online, Tenth Avenue North was given a huge platform to share its message of hope.
“We had the opportunity to work with Tenth Avenue North on the ‘Rock & Worship Roadshow’ this Spring and were very impressed with the band’s art and ministry. As result of that experience we jumped at the chance to be involved in Tenth Avenue North’s headlining Fall Tour,” offers Jacob Reiser, Rush Concerts promoter.
Tenth Avenue North got its tour name from the very moving, “Times” from its Over and Underneath project. The lyric says: “My love is over, it’s underneath, it’s inside, it’s in between,” as it speaks of Christ’s love for us. According to Mike Donehey, lead vocalist for Tenth Avenue North, the “Inside and In Between” tour is designed “to remind people of the audacious grace and impenetrable love offered to them through Jesus Christ. If people can get that, then this tour will have been a success.”
Tenth Avenue North’s breakout single “By Your Side” remains the second most played single on the Billboard’s National Chart this week, one full year after its release to radio. The new single “Hold My Heart” jumped from No. 26 to No. 22 at AC Monitored and broke into the Top 25 at AC Indicator this week.

“When fans of the band who have seen us perform dozens of times over the years continue to tell us the ‘Revelation Tour’ is the best Third Day outing ever, we know what we're sensing each night isn't just our perspective," responds Third Day guitarist Mark Lee. "Believe me, this tour is every bit as special for us as it is for our fans. And while it's hard to imagine it getting even better, we know the Glory Revealed set will add to the poignancy of each night."
The Glory Revealed lineup of artists that will perform during the 12-city fall "Revelation Tour" will include Third Day's Mac Powell, author/speaker David Nasser, Laura Story, Trevor Morgan, Shawn Lewis and other special guests. As a follow-up to the multiple Dove Award-winning 2007 release Glory Revealed: The Word of God in Worship, project visionaries Powell and David Nasser (author/speaker) are releasing a second CD in the award-winning series tomorrow (July 14), titled Glory Revealed II: The Word of God in Worship. The Powell-produced project again blends roots-driven worship music with Biblical truth designed to musically stamp the word of God on the heart of listeners. Glory Revealed II features vocals from 21 different artists including Mark Hall, Amy Grant, Sara Evans, Shane & Shane, Natalie Grant and Brandon Heath, among others, and draws from several passages of Scripture, including excerpts from Psalms, Corinthians, Hebrews, Isaiah and more.
“Concert promoters have been buzzing with anticipation as they've been preparing for the fall's 'Revelation Tour' dates, and the Glory Revealed collective being added to the line-up is a real slam dunk," says Third Day's booking agent, Jeff Gregg of Creative Artists Agency. "Given this year's economic climate, the fact that the ‘Revelation Tour’ sold out more than one-third of its dates in the spring really sets the table for this second leg."
The fall “Revelation Tour,” which kicks off October 8 in Tallahassee, Fla. continues Third Day’s tradition of “paying it forward” by donating $1 per ticket sold to charitable organizations through its Come Together Fund. Through this fund, Third Day--who actively supports the ONE Campaign--has been able to serve charities such as Habitat For Humanity, Blood:Water Mission, World Vision’s Hope Child Initiative and is responsible for more than a million dollars in donations over the last 4 years to disaster relief in and outside of the U.S. Earlier this year, Third Day celebrated the dedication of the Gateway School for impoverished children in India which the band helped build through the Come Together Fund.
Since so many of the fans that come to Third Day's concerts attend as families, the band has coordinated a special concert specifically for them during the tour. The "Revelation Tour" will present a Third Day Family Picnic concert on October 9th in Simpsonville, S.C. In addition to Third Day and Glory Revealed, the Family Picnic will welcome special guests Jars of Clay, Thousand Foot Krutch, FM Static, Audio Unplugged, This Beautiful Republic, and B. Reith.
Third Day's forward-looking and consistent online presence gives the band and its fans an unusual level of interaction during "Revelation Tour." From up-to-the-minute updates to taking song requests on Twitter, fans are given a more immediate glimpse into the day-to-day life of a working band. Third Day's most popular online destinations are: http://thirdday.blogs.com, http://www.thirdday.com, http://marklee.posterous.com, www.twitter.com/thirdday, and http://www.twitter.com/marklee3d
Third Day continues to celebrate a hit album, recurring radio success, and the recent release of its DVD/CD project titled Live Revelations: On Stage, Off Stage, Backstage on April 7. Third Day’s latest, No. 1-debuting studio album, Revelation (7/29/08), is approaching 400,000 units scanned. After 49 weeks on the Nielsen Christian Albums sales chart, Revelation is No. 11.
The band is also benefitting from its third consecutive hit single from Revelation, “Born Again.” The song, featuring Lacey Mosley, lead singer of the Platinum-selling band Flyleaf, continues to climb Billboard's Hot Christian Singles chart and Hot Christian Adult Contemporary chart where it's currently No. 16 on both.
Fall "Revelation Tour" ticket pre-sales for Third Day's fan club will begin this coming Thursday and national ticket sales will start Saturday. The regularly updated "Revelation Tour" itinerary is posted on www.ThirdDay.com. (The direct link to purchase tickets is: http://www.ThirdDay.com/touring.htm)
